Joe Casely-Hayford (1956-2019)
Joe Casely-Hayford OBE (1956-2019) had a career which played an undeniable part in shaping international style for the 21st century.
Over four decades, he pushed boundaries between tailoring and streetwear, establishment and punk, forging a unique aesthetic that made space for a new generation of designers.Early in his career, Joe dressed musicians such as the Clash and U2 whilst building his eponymous brand for men and women on the global stage – showing on the runways of Paris, Tokyo and London.
More recently, taking on the role of Creative Director at Gieves & Hawkes, Joe contributed to the repositioning of the 200-year-old Savile Row house. In 2009, he launched Casely-Hayford alongside his son, Charlie, and wife Maria. In 2018, the brand opened its flagship store on Chiltern Street.

Charlie Casely-Hayford
Before studying at Saint Martin’s, Charlie apprenticed in his father’s studio from a young age, learning design, menswear history and technical skills.
He began working in fashion from the age of 21, styling musicians ranging from the UK’s xx to American hip-hop artist Nas.The Casely-Hayford brand, now helmed by Charlie, has an international following that includes musicians Mos Def and Drake, as well as actors Cillian Murphy and Chiwetel Ejiofor. From the flagship store in Marylebone, London, the Casely-Hayford House offers a new handwriting of modern British style.
