Consultation
The Casely-Hayford handmade suit process begins with a deeply personalised consultation, where we take the time to understand your needs, preferences, and unique style. Our goal is to translate your individuality into the cut, design, and overall aesthetic of the suit. Whether you’re certain of the elements you want or need guidance in choosing the right fabrics, trims, and details, our experienced team will guide you through every decision.
We will take a comprehensive set of measurements, carefully considering your body figurations and posture to ensure the suit accentuates your best features. With over 3,000 hand-selected fabrics from the finest mills in the UK, Italy, and Japan, your options for customisation are endless. Lapel style, shoulder construction, stitch count—every element is considered during this stage to create a suit that is distinctly yours. This initial consultation typically lasts one hour.

Cutting & Sewing
After finalising the measurements and design, the cutting process begins. Your individual pattern is carefully crafted by our expert pattern cutters, translating your precise measurements into the fabric of your choice. The pattern is refined through multiple fittings, ensuring an unparalleled level of precision.
The fabric is then hand-cut and sewn by skilled artisans, bringing your suit to life. Each suit is meticulously constructed, reflecting the Casely-Hayford signature blend of traditional English craftsmanship and contemporary innovation. Once completed, your digital pattern is stored for future commissions, ensuring a seamless process for any future garments.
-
Fitting
Around six to seven weeks after your initial consultation, you will return for two or three additional fittings. During this process, the suit is further sculpted and refined to perfectly fit your body. Each adjustment is made by hand, ensuring that the final result is nothing short of perfection. Every tweak to the fit is also updated in your pattern, allowing us to create future pieces with the same precision and attention to detail.

Finished Garment
The completion of a Casely-Hayford handmade suit represents the highest level of tailoring. Each jacket is crafted with a full floating canvas, hand-padded chest piece, and meticulously shaped lapel, designed to mould to your body over time. This ensures that your suit retains its perfect shape while offering unparalleled comfort.
We combine the timeless intricacies of traditional English craftsmanship with a forward-thinking, modern perspective, resulting in a suit that is both classic and contemporary. The final stage of the handmade process involves an expert presser, who uses steam and pressure to mould the garment into its final form. After a final fitting, your finished suit will be ready to take home—perfect in every detail.
